What we do with your data.

Short version: we hold the least we can, we never sell it, we never track you with pixels, and you can delete all of it yourself in one place.

Who we are

Open Seat Club is a small, invite-only, play-money poker club for people who work in the industry. The club is based in Tel Aviv and is the party responsible for your data. You can reach a human at oded@openseatclub.com, or just reply to any email we send you.

What we hold

Your work email, used once to confirm you actually work in the industry.
An optional personal backup address, so you keep your account if you change jobs. Adding one is your choice and you can remove it.
Your city, and a first name if you give one.
A rough role band (what kind of work you do), not your employer or title on display.
Who invited you, and anyone you invite, so the club stays a real chain of people.
Your RSVPs and attendance for the nights you join.
Your answers to the optional daily tell question, if you choose to answer.

We also keep a private, host-only reliability note based on whether people show up when they say they will. It is never shown to other members and never shown publicly. Anything marked optional or shareable is opt-in, and you can turn it back off.

Your work email is never on display

We use your work email once to verify you, and after that only to send the emails you actually asked for. It is never shown to other members and never shared with anyone. We send at most two lifecycle emails a week (table invites and the like), and across the whole time you are a member we will send at most two gentle nudges if you have gone quiet. That is the ceiling.

No tracking, ever

There are no tracking pixels in our emails. We do not measure whether you opened a message or clicked a link. There are no third-party trackers watching you on the site. What you do stays between you and us.

We do not sell or share your data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data with anyone. We do not hand it to advertisers or data brokers. The only outside services that touch your data are the two we need to run the club, named below, and they only process it on our behalf.

The two services we rely on

Neon hosts our database (Postgres), where the data above lives.
Resend sends our email (your code to sign in, your table invites, and lifecycle notes).

That is the full list. Both only handle your data so we can run the club, not for their own purposes.

No passwords to lose

We do not store passwords, because there are none. You sign in with a 6-digit code emailed to you, or a one-tap link. Your signed-in session is a plain, http-only cookie in your browser. Nothing to forget, nothing to leak.

Deleting everything

You can delete your account yourself. Sign in at the login page and choose to delete. This is real deletion, not archiving. Your account, your answers, your sessions, and your saved addresses are removed. Any night records you appeared in are anonymized so the past nights still add up without pointing back to you.

You can also just reply never again to any email from us. That permanently stops all email to you, in one click, no questions asked, and we honor it for good.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, or ask us to remove your data, it is deleted. We do not sit on it after you are gone.

Your rights

Members may be in the EU or in Israel and have rights to see and delete the data we hold. You can exercise both directly: use the in-product deletion on the login page, or email us at oded@openseatclub.com and a person will handle it.

Changes

If this ever changes in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and, where it affects you, tell you plainly.
